iWork '11 to Arrive by February 19th?

Best Buy Mexico is holding a 'Discover the New iWork 11' event on Febraury 19th at 7pm, according to an AppleBitch report.

A new page on the website of Best Buy Mexico which suggests that iWork '11 will be arriving on February 19th at 7pm. The page describes a launch event saying "Discover The New iWork'11. Visit a Best Buy on February 19th and find out what you can do with iWork '11".

Best Buy has since pulled the page.

Apple Highlights iWork.com Improvements

Apple has sent an email to iWork.com beta users highlighting improvements made to the service after an update made last week.

Play back Keynote '09 presentations on the web, complete with animations.
Using Keynote for Mac, share your presentations and let viewers experience them with over 15 animations, video, hyperlinks, and audio. Play back a presentation on iWork.com using the latest version of Safari on a Mac or PC, iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. Just swipe to advance slides on your iPad using Safari.

New publishing options for public sharing and private online storage.
Upload your documents for private online storage and easily access them from anywhere, or share your documents on social networks using a Public link. Also, you can now embed your presentation seamlessly on a website or blog using the embed code provided by iWork.com. To learn more about these features, and to view an embedded presentation, click here.

Apple Releases iWork 9.0.5 Update

Apple has released an update to iWork that adds public sharing and private upload options for iWork.com and brings improvements to Keynote and Pages.

All iWork 9.0.5 Applications
● Adds public sharing and private upload options for iWork.com public beta.

Keynote 5.0.5
● Allows playback of Keynote presentations on iWork.com, with over 15 animations and effects, when using the latest version of Safari.
o Addresses an issue with the Drop transition, Dissolve build, and shape colors.
o Addresses an issue with rulers.
o Adds support for Keynote Remote 1.2*, including high-resolution slides for the Retina display.

Pages 4.0.5
● Improves the readability of exported ePub documents.

iWork.com public beta**
● Allows playback of Keynote presentations on the web.
o When using the latest version of Safari, the following transitions and builds are available. Transitions: Magic Move, Cube, Dissolve, Drop, Flip, Motion Dissolve, Move in, Pivot, Push, Reveal, Scale, Twirl. Builds: Appear/Disappear, Cube, Dissolve, Drop, Move In/Out, Pivot, Pop, Scale, Twirl.
o Other animations will display as Dissolve when using the latest version of Safari.
o Appear/Disappear animations will be used on non-Safari browsers and older versions of Safari.
o Dynamic, onscreen navigation controls are provided to control web presentations.
o Keynote presentations can be embedded on websites and blogs using the embed code.
o Improves user experience of iWork.com on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

You can download the update by selecting Software Update from the Apple Menu at the top left of your screen.

Hello Sears, this is Apple. We are going to have a little problem here.

Macenstein points to this listing on Sears’ website for iWork at a $39.99 price point. iWork getting a price reduection?! Nope. It’s a project tool set called iWork and it even has an Apple-ish logo. Wikipedia can explain trademark infringement. The funny part is that Sears sells Apple’s iWork productivity suite too.

Buy the iWork Tool Set here, something tells us they are going to be off the shelves soon!
