iPhone Alarms Will Not Work Come New Year's Day!

According to numerous complaints on twitter, it seems that the iPhone's alarm clock will not function properly come New Year's Day. This particular glitch in the iOS software will affect all users who use the alarm clock without recurring alarms. According to 9to5mac, the glitch will fix itself on January 3rd. You may recall a similar bug in the iOS software which was later on fixed in iOS 4.2.1.

For now, make sure to set all your alarm clock to reoccur, or repeat on the days you want it to. This bug is present in 4.2.1 and earlier versions of iOS 4.

#2. Do not grievously harm Apple, in order to preserve our idea generator
#3. Goto #1"

iPhone Dev-Team to Update RedSn0w Beta Today, Windows Update Coming Soon

RedSn0w .9.7b4 will be released today to untether your iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak without the need for usbmuxd.

This untether is a 'backup plan' from the iPhone Dev-Team. It requires access to the iOS 4.2b3 firmware and your iOS 4.2b3 SHSH blobs saved.

Currently, the untether is Mac only but the next update will bring Windows support.

Today's beta4 will eliminate separate usbmuxd process (so many more Mac users can use it). After that, expand to Windows.

You can find our instructions on performing the untether here.

Apple to Announce Verizon iPhone by Valentine's Day?

Apple may announce a CDMA version of the iPhone 4 that works on Verizon by Valentine's Day, according to BusinessWeek.

Apple's introduction of an iPhone for use on Verizon's network will come sometime after the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January, according to a person familiar with Apple's plans who is not authorized to discuss them publicly.

The article surmises that the blow to AT&T may not be as bad as suggested, mainly because most customers are either locked into a contract or will not want to go through the hassle of switching carriers.

Still, even if AT&T loses more than twice as many customers as Hodulik projects, the carrier will not suffer a fatal blow. If 6 million of its customers defect, the $6 billion in lost annual revenue would amount to about 10 percent of AT&T's wireless sales in 2011, according to UBS projections. The $6 billion would be 4.8 percent of its total projected sales of $126 billion in 2011.

Earlier this month, AT&T started moving up iPhone 4 eligibility dates for some customers in what was seen as an effort to lock down as many contracts as possible before Verizon gets the device.

Man Punches Teen for Refusing to Turn Off iPhone on Flight

Russell Miller, a 68-year-old Treasure Valley man, punched a 15-year-old teenager after he refused to turn off his iPhone.

Witnesses say the teen was on his iPhone playing games and listening to music. When the intercom announced that all electronics be turned off, the teen ignored the request. As a result, Russell Miller got angry and punched the 15 year old. The pilots radioed air traffic control and cops were sent to the gate to arrest Russell Miller.

He punched him so hard there was a mark on the teen's arm," Lipple said. "That gave us probable cause to believe the reports from the other passengers."

Miller was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and booked into the Ada County jail.

Ok, first off there is an airplane mode on idevices for a reason! Second no one has the right to attack anyone on a plane weather you are provoked or not, let alone a miner. Isn't there supposed to be a cop or USMarshall on every plane or did they stop doing that? Flight attendants need to be trained to know which electronics have airplane mode and which don't, to avoid these kinds of things happening in the future.

Leaked iPad 2 Case Mold Drawings Show New Port?

9to5Mac has obtained leaked iPad 2 case moldings which show tapered edges, a slightly contoured back, a back camera, and a brand new port.

Some new information we have discovered through these drawings is a brand new port opening on the left side of the device. We’re not sure what this opening is for but it is there on these latest iPad 2 design schematics. On the drawings there appears to be an SD card going into the port but that could just be a piece of the case mold machine. The latest rumors point to either a mini USB or a full USB port being present on the iPad 2 so it very well could be one or a combination of the three ports.

The site has also heard that the thickness of the iPad 2 is 8.5mm. The current iPad is 13.4mm at the center.

*thanks iclarified*

Do we have to remind you about the iPod touch 3rd gen cases and rumors that it would have the camera?? These are mainly guesses by manufactures of how these idevices will look, and anyone with a cad program can make this drawing it's not hard..
